A year of accomplishment in Uganda |
| Thursday, January 14, 2010 |
As we complete another year of partnership with four rural villages in Uganda, we continue to be thankful that you have made a place in your heart for these families. We are celebrating several accomplishments this year in the four villages that we are serving:
- New borehole installed in Kyabazala (in partnership with Global Health Ministries)
- Repair of broken borehole in Kabuli
- Mosquito nets distributed to 150 families in Kabuli and Ikumbya
- New staff member (lab technician) and tools (solar power system to power new lab equipment and enable emergency treatment) for Naigobya Health Center.
- Local church communities in the four villages have grown in membership and service to their communities. Bibles provided to local churches.
- New orphan school in Kabuli serving 60 students. Total enrollment in orphan schools of 340 students between the four villages.
- Naigobya Carpentry Training Center skills training for young men began classes this fall.
- Expansion of livestock program
These are exciting achievements that have been far beyond our expectations. And behind each of these headlines are children and families whose daily lives are changed for the better. Thank you for your partnership this past year. We believe that your partnership with us and the work accomplished brings pleasure to God as the least of these are loved and served. It is so rewarding to see people in the villages that we serve filled with such joy and gratitude. They can teach us a thing or two about uninhibited joy!
We wish you and your family that same joy this Christmas!
Ps If you wish to make a end-of-year gift that will make a tangible difference, please review our current giving opportunities.
