About Us |
| Friends Serving Uganda |
“Friends Serving Uganda” (FSU) is a mission group actively involved in southeastern Uganda since the Fall of 2006. We partner with two non-profit groups, one in the United States named “With God’s Little Ones” (WGLO) and another in Uganda named “Lutheran Church Mission Uganda” (LCMU). Both WGLO and LCMU are very experienced mission organizations and have been involved specifically in mission work in Uganda for a number of years. WGLO assist’s groups like ours to connect directly with villages in Uganda with local help from LCMU.
FSU is a recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation with a board of directors and by-laws. We started with a “core” of three families. Our board members are ordinary people with a passion for serving and making a difference in Uganda one village at a time. We also are experienced with mission work with the president of FSU also being a past president of WGLO.
Our initial focus location has been a village called Naigobya which is north of the city Jinja. This is a very rural and distant village where life is simple with residents also being very poor. They lack many basic necessities for survival. Our first project two years ago provided clean water which quickly led to improved health for the poorest. However, as conditions improve with each project, our scope is expanding beyond just Naigobya to surrounding areas.
We encourage other “friends” whether it would be individuals, businesses or other organizations to join with us in this mission field. Our core team along with our partners in Uganda will identify projects and the timing of activities. We will provide opportunities for “friends” to partner with us where 100% of their tax deductible donations are provided directly to the Ugandan’s in need.
Tax deductable contributions can be sent to:
